CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, September 23, <br />2014, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: <br />Mayor Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember Jill Johns <br />Councilmember Mark Kuzma <br />Councilmember John LeTourneau <br />Councilmember Chris Riley <br />Members Absent: Councilmember Randy Backous <br />Councilmember Jason Tossey <br />EPB Members Present: Chairperson John Stodola <br />Board Member Reid Bernard <br />Board Member Bob Bentz <br />Board Member Mike Hiatt <br />Board Member Larry Lewis <br />Board Member Michael Valentine <br />Also Present: <br />City Administrator Kurtis Ulrich <br />Public Works Superintendent Grant Riemer <br />Community Development Director Timothy Gladhill <br />City Engineer Bruce Westby <br />City Planner Chris Anderson <br />Asst. City Administrator /Economic Development Manager Patrick Brama <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Strommen called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />2. TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br />2.01: Review Environmental Policy Board Purpose and Indentify/Discuss Potential <br />Initiatives for Future Projects <br />Following introductions, Community Development Director Gladhill reviewed the staff report, <br />indicating tonight will be an interactive process to identify purposes and implementation <br />strategies to work through the Environmental Policy Board (EPB) Work Plan. <br />City Planner Anderson explained that the EPB got its start as a Task Force, dating back to late - <br />1990s, early -2000s in response to a proposed development that resulted in a lot of tree loss and <br />City Council Work Session / September 23, 2014 <br />Page 1 of 10 <br />
