As for the
wood, Mr. Auel stated that he works two jobs and he will cut it when he can
find the time. Mr. Auel pointed out that just down the street from City Hall
there is a residence with many junk cars, boats, etc. all over his yard.

Councilmember Schlueter stated that there is quite a bit of weed growth around
the logs in Mr. Auel's yard; it does present a driving hazard on the corner
adjacent to Mr. Auel's property. Councilm~mber $chlueter did agree that Mr.
Auel basically keeps a clean yard.

Mr. Auel stated that there are a lot of hcmes in his neighborhood, and the
City, with weed growth.

Mayor Heitman inquired if Mr. Auel is currently violating any ordinances.

Mr. Schnelle stated that parking business vehicles at a residence is a
violation; there is no ordinance addressing wood piles.

Councilm~nber Reimann stated that he doesn't feel that Mr. Auel parking
business vehicles at his residence should present a probl~n.

Councilm~mber COx stated that Mr. Auel could fence and lock some of his
property in Andover; Councilm~mber Reimann is saying that it is alright for
everybody to bring their business vehicles home.

Mr. Schnelle stated that there are similar situations in the City and cautioned
against using selective enforcement.

Mr. Auel stated that he would like to cooperate but doesn't know how he can
July 9, 1985
