Council recessed at 9:39 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman called the meeting back to order at 9:53 p.m. <br /> <br />July 23, 1985 Agenda Items Continued- <br /> <br />Case #8: Request For Temporary 3,2 Beer License; .Case Of Anoka <br /> Volunteer Fire Department, Inc.,....- <br /> <br />Motion by Councilm~mber Cox and seconded by Councilmember Reimann <br />to approve of granting a temporary 3.2 beer license from 10:00 a.m. <br />to 6:00 p.m. on September 8, 1985 for the Anoka Volunteer Fire <br />Depar~ent to bet held at the St. Anthony Gun Club, City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers COx, <br />Sorteberg, Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />C~se #8: Request For Temporary 3,2 Beer. License; Case Of Ramsey Jaycees: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember COx and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to approve <br />of granting a temporary 3.2 beer license from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on August <br />23 and 24, 1985 and from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. on August 25, 1985 for the <br />Ramsey Jaycees for Ramsey Days '85. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Schlueter and Cox. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #9: .Request For Temporary_ 3.2 Beer License: Case Of Ramsey Lions <br /> Club: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilm~mber COx and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to approve <br />of granting a temporary 3.2 beer license from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on August <br />24 and 25, 1985 for the Ramsey Lions Club for the sand drags. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mayor Heitman noted for the record that one of the primary <br />movers of the previous petition brought before the City regarding the sand <br />drags was satisfied with the efforts made by the Lions to accomodate citizen <br />concerns. Mayor Heitman stated that he hopes the Lions Club will continue in <br />this vein. Councilmember Cox stated tha this motion is based on the fact that <br />the City expects the Lions Club to provide the same type of control that was <br />demonstrated with the last sand drags and the Lions Club should be advised of <br />this. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, COx, <br />Reimann and Schlueter.
