Food freezer quit and had to throw away 200# of food. Stated that the building permit should have required soil borings be taken frc~ deeper than 2 '-3'. Mayor Hei~an stated that the only viable alternative is to proceed to petition for permanent solution to the problem. Mrs. Peterson inquired as to what can be done during the winter months when the water cannot be pu~ped; will the City or Gounty help? Mr. Berg replied that the City and County will probably not help; there are a lot of people in this same situation; there is not enough money, eguii~ent and personnel to take care of all the water problems. As for what to do in the winter months, keep p~ping. As long as there is a positive grade (flow) on the pipe, the pipe will not freeze.
