Commissioner Deemer suggested that since payroll is approved on the Consent Agenda, it is a <br />public document; therefore, salary information is not private now. That may change with a City <br />Manager form of government. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ebel suggested seeing how a seven person Council system works and, in a year, <br />discuss this again. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer stated that the scenario about Councilmembers asking someone for <br />information and that he would now have to go through the manager - that's not the case is it? <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated, for example, he would call Sylvia and in that conversation, <br />ask her to fax something. Is that against State Statute? <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich replied, not unless she doesn't do it for someone else. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that there is a difference between a request for information and actually <br />giving work direction. <br /> <br />Councihnember Hendriksen stated he is on the Cable Commission and one of the things that's <br />available to every resident in this City is cable access - it is legally free to everyone (the local <br />channel).
