Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #14-10-211 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING CASH DONATIONS OF *$21,587 FROM *several donors TO BE APPLIED <br />TOWARD the Happy Days Festival fund. *Please see attached list of donations. <br />WHEREAS, MN State Statute 465.03 requires that a city pass a resolution that accepts any <br />donations or grants and <br />WHEREAS, two -Thirds majority of the council members must adopt said resolution to formally <br />accept donation. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has received cash donations from *several donors in the <br />amount of *$21,587 *Please see attached list of donations; and <br />WHEREAS, the donors elect to restrict the purpose of the donation to fund the Happy Days <br />Festival- which is funded from the General Gov't Special Projects special revenue fund <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby accepts donations made by *the donors listed in the <br />amount of *$21,587 . *Please see attached list of donations. <br />2) The donation shall be applied to the Happy Days Festival fund . <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the <br />14th day of October , 2014. <br />Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />City Clerk <br />
