PROCEEDINGS OF CITY C(N3NCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSE¥ <br /> ANOKA (IN3NTY <br /> SI~TE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />the Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, November 12, <br />1985 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Heitman <br />Councilmember A1 Sorteberg <br />Councilmember Arnie COx <br />Councilmember Jean Schlueter <br />Councilmember Gary Reimann <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Acting City Administrator/City Attorney William Goodrich <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br />Reporter Kathy Cassidy <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman called the regular Council meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. and led <br />in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />Douglas Fountain - 15255 Garnet Street - Stated that in late August, early <br />September he filed a complaint with the City Administrator regarding a business <br />license Mr. Arnie Cox has not obtained for operating in the City; what has <br />become of that complaint? <br /> <br />Councilmember Reimann stated it seems Mr. Fountain continually picks at <br />Councilmember Cox; these issues being brought up could be handled at City Staff <br />level rather than bringing them up at public forums and making a big deal out <br />of them. <br /> <br />Mr. Fountain stated that Councilmember Cox signed the ordinance regarding <br />licensing and is fully aware of it. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox stated that he recently responded to Mr. Fountain's <br />complaint; the response was that he will not be applying for a certain licence <br />because of a decision not to include renting vehicles as a part of the <br />business. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that he contacted Councilmember COx in regards to <br />the complaint on October 20; Councilmember COx stated that he has ceased to <br />rent vehicles. Mr. Goodrich stated that he drafted a letter to Mr. COx stating <br />that the City will not pursue the license; that he is not authorized to rent <br />vehciles and if he continues to do so he will be prosecuted accordingly. <br /> <br />Mayor Hei~an stated that he received a letter from an attorney representing <br /> November 12, 1985 <br /> <br />Page 3 of 12 <br /> <br /> <br />
