Councilmember Schlueter stated that if the motion were restated, she would change her vote to a 'yes' in order that the minutes will be approved; she did not attend the December 28, 1984 special meeting but she also has no problem with the minutes. Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to approve special City Council meeting minutes dated December 28, 1984. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. Abstain: Mayor Heitman and Councilmember Cox. Q_RC~ IZATIONAL MEETING 1985_ Council 0raanizationalMee.ting_: A. Appoint/Reappoint Acting Mayor - Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to appoint Councilmember Gary Reimann as Acting Mayor for the year 1985. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, COx, Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. B. Appoint/Reappoint Council Standing Committees - 1. Budget Committee - Motion by Councilmember Scblueter and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to appoint Mayor Heitman to the Budget Committee. Motion by Mayor Heitman and seconded by Councilmember Schlueter to appoint Councilmember Sorteberg to the Budget Committee. ~he Council passed both of the above motions with one vote. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Reimann, Sorteberg, COx and Schlueter. Voting No: None. 2. Personnel Committee - Councilmember COx requested that voting be conducted on each individual appointment to a committee rather than on the committee appointments as a whole. Mayor Heitman agreed and inquired if Councilmember Cox wished to conduct a re-vote on the Budget Committee appointments. Councilmember Cox replied that re-voting on the Budget Committee would not be necessary. Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember COx to appoint Councilmember Reimann to the Personnel Committee. January 8, 1985 Page 6 of 17
