Mr. Berg stated that the request to construct a physical fitness center on the <br />corner of 153rd and Cty. Rd. #5 and to begin construction on this project <br />before platting is completed. Mr. Berg stated that if Council approves the <br />request, the certificate of occupancy will restricted until platting is <br />completed. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Cox to <br />authorize Dr. Tom Anderson to proceed with the construction of a dance studio <br />at 153rd Avenue NW and County Road ~5 prior to the completion of the plat, <br />contingent upon the final plat being satisfactorily filed before a certificate <br />of occupancy is issued. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Anoka Countv~: <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle stated that he has met with Mr. Steinbrecher and if the residents <br />of Ramsey can raise $13,000 for park development, this branch of the Lutheran <br />Brotherhood will match those funds. Mr. Schnelle stated that Mr. Steinbrecher <br />also noted that the organization will donate $400 to aid in organizing a fund <br />raiser. Mr. Schnelle suggested that Council appoint a committee to research <br />the feasibility of such a project. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Heitman and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to organize a <br />committee consisting of a councilmember, a Park and Recreation Commission <br />member, a Lions Club member and an RYAA member, to meet with Mr. A1 <br />Steinbrecher regarding the matching fund offer for park development. Further, <br />that Councilnmmber Cox serve as City Council's representative on this <br />committee. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter.
