PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESO~ <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on Tuesday, February 26, <br />1985 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Heitman <br />Councilmember Jean Schlueter <br />Councilmember Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Arnie Cox <br />Councilmember A1 Sorteberg <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle <br />City Attorney WilliamGoodrich <br />Director Of Technical Services Clayton Berg <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br />Reporter Angela Flint <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman called the regular Council meeting to order at 7:32 p.m. and led <br />in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />John Lichter - 14060 Fluorine - Referred to an informal public meeting held on <br />February 6, 1985 regarding proposed storm sewer assessments for Watershed <br />District #43 and at that time City Staff stated they would research <br />alternativemethods of assessing. <br /> <br />Mr. Berg - Stated that City Staff did research alternative assessing methods <br />and are not recommending a change from what was proposed. <br /> <br />John Lichter - Stated that at the public meeting there was some discussion <br />regarding the City picking up a share of the storm sewer project cost since it <br />is in the City's best interest to have Flintwood II develop and Flintwood II <br />requires storm sewer in order to develop. Mr. Lichter stated that residents <br />in Flintwood I feel they are receiving a disproportionate share of the <br />assessment in comparison to benefit gained. <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman stated that Mr. Stan Data, a resident of Flintwood I, has <br />identified an alternative method for assessing the storm sewer project, but <br />that alternative has to be officially presented to Council in order for it to <br />be considered. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox requested an explanation of Mr. Data's idea. <br /> February 26, 1985 <br /> <br />Page 6 of 26 <br /> <br /> <br />
