PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A special meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on 5hursday, March 7, <br />1985 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Heitman <br />Councilmember Jean Schlueter <br />Councilmember A1 Sorteberg <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle <br />City Planner Anne Norris <br />Director of Technical Services Clayton Berg <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br />City Attorney William Goodrich (arrived 8:10 p.m.) <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Arnie Cox <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman called the special Council meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. and led <br />in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />~PPRO~L OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Council consensus was to accept the agenda as submitted with the following <br />adjustments: <br /> <br />a. Discussion of pop machine installation at City Hall. <br /> <br />b. As Councilpersons wishing to speak to Cases #1 and #2 are not yet <br /> present, Case #3 will be taken up as the first item of business. <br /> <br />Lorin Stephenson - Wuorio Sales - 9619 Hwy. 10 - Stated that the company was <br />told over the phone that there would be no problems in obtaining a building <br />permit to construct a storage building; now the materials have been delivered <br />and they find that there are more technical requirements involved. <br /> <br />Mr. Berg stated that City Hall was under the impression that it was to be an <br />average storage building on a residential lot, which requires no plans being <br />submitted; but it is a storage building in a B-1 zone. Ramsey has always <br />required site and design plans and development agreements for commercial <br />buildings. Mr. Berg stated that there is also a question regarding warehouse <br />use in a B-1 zone, a zone for retail sales. Mr. Berg also noted that Wuorio <br />Sales is located in Elk River, and the adjacent lot on which the storage <br />building is to be constructed, is located in Ramsey.
