Mr. Stritesky suggested <br />that the wood could have been donated to the Scout Camp, or processed into <br />planks for bleachers at Central Park, or sale proceeds could have been used to <br />plant trees at Central Park. <br /> <br />Councilm~r Cox stated that the trees were not fit to go through a saw mill <br />as they were on a fence line and contained wire r~nnants; the wood was~ <br />up among the highway workers. Councilmember Cox also noted that there is a <br />stock pile of wood behind the old town hall that might be available for <br />donation to the Scout Camp. <br /> <br />Councilme~r Cox referred to the anin~tl control question and stated that at <br />one time there was a dog impounding station in Ramsey; permit requests for <br />such a use usually rm~et with a lot of neighborhood opposition. <br /> <br />Dale McKnight - 7421 150th Lane - Requested Council permission for Ramsey <br />JayCees to sponsor a circus on June 8 in the vicinity of Gateway Airport. <br /> <br />Council advised Mr. McKnight to contact City Staff regarding necessary permits <br />for the circus and advertising restrictions. <br /> <br />Mr. McKnight stated that the JayCee's will need 500 gallons of fresh water <br />during the circus; they have a tank but no place to pu~p the water from. <br /> <br />Mr. Berg stated that the JayCee's could get the water from the fire hydrant <br />located at the Municipal Well Pumphouse. <br /> <br />Mr. McKnight requested Council approval for the JayCee's to utilize the City <br />garage on April 27 and 28 to do spring car tune-ups for senior citizens, with <br />all parts and labor being donated. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilm~nber Cox and seconded by Councilm~ber Sorteberg to approve <br />of the Ramsey JayCee's utilitizing the City garage for their senior citizen <br />car tune-up project on April 27 and 28, 1985. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Counciln~nbers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimar~n and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mr. McKnight stated that the JayCee's will be installing smoke detectors in <br />the homes of senior citizens and irguired if any legal permits are required <br />from the City to do so. <br /> <br />Mr. Berg stated that no special permits are required for smoke detector <br />instal lation. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilm~r COx and seconded by Councilm~mber Sorteberg to direct <br />City Staff to prepare a findings of fact regarding the Ramsey JayCee's request <br />for a t~porary conditional use permit to sponsor a circus on June 8, 1985 and <br />to have those findings of fact placed on the Council Agenda for April 9, 1985 <br />for adoption. <br /> <br />March 26, 1985 <br /> <br />Page 8 of 26 <br /> <br /> <br />
