PROCEEDINGS OF CITY CDUNCIL <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA CDUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, April 9, 1985 <br />at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota <br />regarding Sealcoating Improv~mlent Project #85-9, High Point Addition. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Heitman <br />Councilmember Arnie COx <br />Councilmember Jean Schlueter <br />Councilmember Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember A1 Sorteberg <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle <br />Director of Technical Services Clayton Berg <br />City Attorney Goodrich <br />Larry Koshak of Hakanson/Anderson Engineering <br />Reporter Angela Flint <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman called the public hearing to order at 8:50 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION BY ENGINEER <br /> <br />Mr. Larry Koshak gave a slide presentation of Sealcoating Improvement Project <br />#85-9 showing affected area and estimated total and per unit costs. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Dennis Hanson - 15700 Dolomite - Inquired if vacant lots receive an <br />assessment. Agreed that sealcoating is a necessity and noted that one of his <br />neighbors owns and drives into the neighborhood a semi-trailer truck; upon <br />complaining to the City, he gets the reply that the City does not have the <br />time to handle the matter. <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman - Replied that vacant lots receive an assessment for <br />sealcoating. <br /> <br />Mr. Berg - Stated that the roads are posted for 5 tons in the spring; the City <br />has an ordinance prohibiting the parking of commercial trucks in residential <br />neighborhoods. Recommended that Mr. Hanson contact the Police Department. <br /> <br />Carol Helget - 6510 155th Avenue NW - Stated that she has culvert problems and <br />there is an improperly filled crack in front of 6500 155th Avenue NW. <br /> <br />Tom Dahlen - 6621 156th Avenue - Agreed there is a need for sealcoating and <br />inquired as to when the assessments will be added to the property taxes. <br /> April 9, 1985 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
