Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None.

F. Revenue Sharing -

(This case should have been carried over from the March 26, 1985 Council
agenda but inadvertently was not. )

Mr. Schnelle stated that he is not in favor of any Federal program, but if we
have to keep one, this is the one to keep.

Councilmember Schlueter referred to the resolution proposed and stated that
she doesn't feel that it is appropriate to name the Federal programs that
Ramsey is not in favor of as some other cities might favor those programs.

Councilm~mber Cox stated that Federal Revenue Sharing is one of Ramsey's
opportunities to get some of it's tax dollars back and it is the most
efficient of the Federal programs. Councilmember Cox stated that he would
like to have some comments in the resolution regarding Ramsey being supportive
of the Federal Government reducing the budget and the taxing of the people;
with tax reduction the City could keep and designate the spending of it's own
dollars.

Council unanimously consented to dispense with the reading of the resolution.

Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to adout
Resolution #85-74 supporting the Federal revenue sharing program with Item #1
to be amended in a way that will express Ramsey's opinion that tax reduction
is a first priority item; that if a Federal program must be preserved,
preserve Federal revenue sharing. (Please refer to resolution file for
Resolution 985-74).

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, COx,
Reimann and Schlueter.
