PROCEEDINGS OF CITY (DUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a special meeting on Tuesday, May 14, 1985 <br />at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Heitman <br />Councilm~mber Jean Schlueter <br />Councilm~r A1 Sorteberg <br />Councilm~aber Arnie COx <br />Councilmember Gary Reimann <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Director Of Technical Services Clayton Berg <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br />Re~orter Angela Flint <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman called the special Council meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. and led <br />in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />Wes Bulen - Stated he is present regarding the golf course project and there <br />is a matter of a grading and mining permit that needs to be resolved at <br />tonight' s meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Berg stated that Mr. Bulen was of the understanding that the grading and <br />excavating was part of the Rum River Hills final plat approval and it is not. <br />Mr. Berg stated that he and Mr. Raatikka have discussed the issue and would <br />like to recommend that excavating and grading permits be made a part of final <br />plat approval. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that approving excavating and grading via plat approval <br />would not create a problem; if the excavating and grading is separate from a <br />plat, it would require Planning and Zoning and City Council attention. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox stated that past policy has been that grading is included in <br />final plat approval. <br /> <br />Mr. Berg stated that River's Bend received final plat approval but the City <br />required that the grading permit be addressed separate from the plat. Mr. <br />Berg recommended that the current City ordinance be amended to include that <br />grading is included in plat approvals. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Heitman and seconded by Councilm~mber Cox to grant approval of <br /> May 14, 1985 <br /> <br />Page 4 of 20 <br /> <br /> <br />
