PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a special meeting on Thursday, May 30, 1985 <br />at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Heitman <br />Councilms~ber A1 Sorteberg <br />Councilmember Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Arnie Cox <br />Councilmember Jean Schlueter <br /> <br />Also Present: Director of Technical Services Clayton Berg <br /> <br />Mayor Heit~an called the special Council meeting to order at 7:48 p.m. and led <br />in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman stated that the Charter Commission met earlier this evening and <br />he would like to add a case to the agenda to address a charter amendment that <br />has been rec(~Nnended for adoption. <br /> <br />Councilmember COx inquired if there is a timing problem with Council acting on <br />the reco~mmendation the same evening in which it was made. <br /> <br />Councilmember Sorteberg inquired if acting on the recommendation prior to <br />approval of the Charter Commission minutes could create problems. <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman replied that time constraints come into play after Council takes <br />action on the recommended amendment. <br /> <br />Charter Commission members Curt Titterud, John Lichter, Stan Data and Brenda <br />Bauerkemper were present and stated that in their opinion, there would be no <br />problem with Council acting on the recommendation this evening. <br /> <br />Mayor Heit~an also noted that City Accountant Jeanne Haapala has sukmitted her <br />resignation and Council should take action on it. <br /> <br />Council consensus was to approve the agenda for May 30, 1985 as follows: <br /> <br />May 30, 1985 <br /> <br />Page 3 of 11 <br /> <br /> <br />
