Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilm~mbers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilm~mber Sorteberg to adopt <br />Ordinance #85-2 anending Chapter 170.01 of the City Code to establish <br />envirom~ental protection regulations. Further, that page 22 of the ordinance <br />be amended to require a 4' bike lane rather than a 6' bike lane. (Please refer <br />to ordinance file for Ordinance ~85-2). <br /> <br />Further DiScussion: Councilm~ber Cox stated that the State mandates policies <br />regarding development along the river, to the objection of people living there. <br />Councilmenber Cox stated that the developer has to provide the bike trail <br />right-of-way and pave it; if asked to, the people wouldn't pay for it but they <br />sure want to use it. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
