Mr. Hartley noted that the one-ton will have a plow mounted on it and be <br />carrying sand and will be exerting a lot of torque and braking. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated he will review the specs for both the water truck <br />conversion and the one-ton truck and make any adjustments necessary. <br /> <br />Case #6: ~torm Sewer Improvement Policy: <br /> <br />Council recalled reviewing the proposed policy presented at the March 24 <br />Council meeting and discussing appropriate financing policies to be used for <br />existing residential versus newly developing areas. <br /> <br />Council directed staff to prepare another policy for council review <br />relating to storm sewer improvements. <br /> <br />Case ~7.. Repairs To City Hall: <br /> <br />Council reviewed the list of repairs needed at City Hall prepared by Mr. <br />Hartley. <br /> <br />Councilm~mber Pearson noted that he has received complaints about the dark <br />parking lot and driveway at City Hall. <br /> <br />Council directed staff to research lighting options for City Hall parking <br />lot and driveway. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that he would prefer to see a permanent solution for <br />necessary maintenance at City Hall like hiring somebody on an annual basis <br />at an hourly rate. <br /> <br />Mr. Gorecki noted that there is a local business, Adriaens Mechanical <br />Services, that is very well equipped to handle the variety of repairs at <br />City Hall. <br /> <br />Council directed Mr. Hartley to contact Adriaens for his analysis of <br />necessary repairs and costs. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that the City can contract out all exising necessary <br />repairs as a package and then look at having necessary repairs taken care <br />on an hourly rate basis thereafter. <br /> <br />Case ~8.. Schedule Personnel Committee Meeting: <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann and Councilmember Sorteberg scheduled a Personnel Meeting for <br />Wednesday, April 1 at 5:00 p.m. at City Hall. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that the AFSCME negotiations are going to mediation and <br />that the City must have somebody present at the mediation sessions with the <br />authority to negotiate in good faith and he trusts that he has that <br />authority. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox inquired as to the status of Ramsey's Comparable Worth <br /> March 31, 1987 <br /> <br />Page 7 of 9 <br /> <br /> <br />
