Mr. Raudio stated that approximately 50,000 yards <br />of soil would be left on the property and there is a possibility that black <br />dirt would be added to it. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />appoint Councilmember Cox to meet with City Administrator Hartley, City <br />Engineer Raatikka and Mr. Raudio to prepare a firm proposal that would <br />determine which property is most desirable for a city public works site and <br />reasons for that determination. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />Pearson and DeLuca. Voting No: None. Abstain: Councilmember Cox. <br /> <br />C_~ Discuss Need For Additional'School In Ramsey: <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox stated that the time is right to discuss the need for an <br />expansion or addition to elementary schools in Ramsey. If statistics show <br />there is a need to expand school facilities, then Council should encourage <br />it; if not, then school facilities should remain at the current level. <br /> <br />Council discussed that a school committee should be formed to research the <br />need to expand school facilities in Ramsey; applications for that committee <br />should be advertised on cable t.v. and in the city newsletter; Community <br />Education and the Parents Advisory Committee should appoint representatives <br />to the committee. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to <br />establish a School Committee to research the need and feasibility of <br />establishing an additional or an expansion of schools in Ramsey. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Approve Classification Of Non-Conservation Designation Of <br />Land To Be Withheld From Tax Forfeit Sale: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that Council and Staff have reviewed the list of <br />properties which have been slated for tax forfeit sale; there are parcels <br />the City should retained for drainage and park purposes. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to <br />approve Anoka County's classification as non-conservation the following <br />properties: <br /> <br />F02-32-25-22-0021 <br />F02-32-2§-22-0022 <br />F05-32-25-32-0012 <br />F14-32-25-41-0007 <br />F-23-32-25-22-0003 <br /> <br />Motion carried.
