(Refer to resolution file for Resolution #87-160). <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann and City Administrator Hartley presented Mr. Jerry Hamlet of <br />the Ramsey Lions with a letter of commendation for that organization's <br />efforts in sponsoring the 1987 Ramsey Community Picnic. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann and City Administrator Hartley presented Dale Henderson and <br />Robert Bruns of the Ramsey Jaycees with a letter of commendation for that <br />organization's efforts in the 1987 Ramsey Clean-up Day. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />C~se #1~ Discuss Alignment Options For Connecting Dysprosium S~r~t NW <br /> With County Road No. 5; <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka stated that on June 23, Council directed him to <br />review the possibility of continuing Dysprosium parallel to Cry. Rd. #5 and <br />connecting further west than originally planned. Mr. Raatikka stated that <br />he has reviewed the alignment with an MSA engineer and he indicated that <br />paralleling Dysprosium to Cty. Rd. #5 would require considerable <br />justification in order to be approved for MSA funds because then Dysprosium <br />would be serving the same function at Cty. Rd. #5. The original proposal <br />to connect Dysprosium to Cty. Rd. #5 at a 90 degree angle approximately 500 <br />feet west of the intersection of Cty. Rd. #5 and Hwy. #47 would meet the <br />intent of an MSA street system. 1988 funds from MN/DoT have been requested <br />for the upgrading of the intersection of Cry.
