He said he didn't know that Rams~e¥ <br />did not have someone with those oualities on sta~~: no~,~. Pie pointed <br />ou'L that the City already goes out on b:lds for snow i~lowing, <br />cuttir'~g and street sweeping. <br /> <br />[)ounc:i].man Pearson asked if this wouicl limit the Cc, uncii tr.)c:, much. <br />Councilman Cox said the Council could make a re~.)lacemen'L <br />personnel or equipment or maybe the Council will/ decide t'.o loc:,k <br />towards iorivatization on that too. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley said his concern ~as to get on a c:ourse o~ action so the <br />jobs (zan get' done to provide those goods and services tine ~eo~:)le ar~ <br />expecting after paying their tax clollars. He explained that right <br />now the s'La.~.~ is really struggling and unable to keep ,..~ ~ith the <br />work 1 oad. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox said this motion should help this situation, Mr. <br />Hartley asked i,~ he could continue to interview ~or part-time helm. <br />Councilman Cox s~aid that decimion had already been made and ~ould <br />not be af-~ected.. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Cox, <br />DeLuca, Pearson and Sorteberg. Voting no: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Case -~.A: Review the Proposed Schedule for the Airport SaSety Zone <br />Referendum. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich explained at the last Council meeting they <br />approved an advisory election ~or the Air~ort Commission. !t takes <br />about a two month time frame to schedule this election. Mr. <br />Goodrich e;-,'l~lained that Mr. Hartley had ..iust informed him the <br />E:hairma~n o~ the Airport Commission ~eit it would be a good idea to <br />h,.'~ld o'~'~ on this election until the Environmental impact Statement~ <br />(EIS) , is completed. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartle¥ said more facts would be available aYter the ElS is <br />c:omple'l:_ed.
