PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, September 8, <br />1987 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota regarding proposed assessments for the 1987 sealcoating projects. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Arnie Cox <br />Councllmember Steve DeLuca <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember A1 $orteberg <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator David Hartley <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the public hearing to order at 7:45 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka stated that the purpose of this public hearing is to <br />receive comments relating to the proposed assessments for the following <br />1987 sealcoating pro3ects: <br /> <br />#87 -4 <br />#87 -6 <br />#87 -7 <br />#87-8 <br />#87-9 <br />#87-10 <br />#87-11 <br />#87-12 <br />#87-13 <br />#87 -14 <br />#87-15 <br />#87-16 <br />#87-17 <br /> <br />161st Avenue N.W. and Llama Street N.W. <br />159th and Dolomite Street <br />158th Lane and Kamacite Street <br />Whispering Pines Estates Plat 2 <br />Trott Brook Estates <br />Alpaca Estates 1st and 2nd Additions <br />South 1/2 of Hagen's Unplatted Area <br />Ford Brook Estates <br />Greenland Hills <br />Menkveld's Unplatted Area <br />Rhinestone Street & 154th Lane <br />Peltzer Addition <br />Menkveld's Pine Hills North <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPU~ <br /> <br />Roger Buchanan - 15230 Kangaroo - Project area #87-8 - Inquired as to the <br />reason this public hearing is being held. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka stated that Chapter 429, which was incorporated into <br />the City Charter, requires the city to hold an assessment hearing after a <br />project is completed to report the actual costs and proposed assessments. <br />Mr. Raatikka explained that following the hearing, those propert-es <br />proposed to be assessed have 30 days to pay the assessment with no <br />interest.
