PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, November <br />24, 1987 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember A1 Sorteberg <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember Steve DeLuca <br />Councilmember Arnie Cox <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator David Hartley <br />Finance Officer Noel Graczyk <br />Community Development Director Anne Norris <br />C i t y A t t o r n e y W i 1 1 i a m G o o d r i c h <br /> <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the regular City Council meeting to order at 7:38 p.m. <br />and led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Ed Hamilton - 6615 Highway #10 N.W. - Presented copies of a letter <br />(Attachment A to these minutes) from he and Lora Hamilton and Winslow and <br />Corrine HOlasek to City Council dated November 24, 1987 regarding <br />right-of-way for MSA road south of Hwy. #10. Mr. Hamilton proceeded to <br />read the letter aloud. Mr. Hamilton then presented Council with copies of <br />a letter to them from Winslow Holasek dated November 24, 1987 (Attachment B <br />to these minutes). <br /> <br />Mayor Reimaun stated that he has been approached by the public regarding <br />the Council's intent to disband the police department and has been informed <br />that there is a petition being circulating to stop such action. Mayor <br />Reimann stated that he his reply to these comments is that the City has <br />taken no official action to disband the police department. <br /> <br />Councilmember Pearson stated that he has also received comments from the <br />public regarding disbanding the police department. Counc ilmember Pearson <br />stated that his reply has been that he knows of action being taken to <br />disband the police department and the public can verify this information <br />by calling City Hall. <br /> <br />Councilmember DeLuca stated that he has also received comments from the <br />public regarding disbanding the police department. <br /> <br />City Council/November 24, 1987 <br /> <br />Page 3 of 16 <br /> <br /> <br />
