In favor - All, Opposed - none. Motion carried <br /> <br />Agenda Minutes <br /> <br />The task force reviewed the draft ordinance prepared by Sylvia Frolik. In general <br />agreement as to format but there were inconsistencies. <br /> <br />Motion by Michael Max to continue with the Ordinance in its prior draft form. Seconded <br />by Erika Sitz. <br />In favor - all, Opposed - none. Motion carried <br /> <br />Discussion followed on the various sections of the Tree Ordinance Draft. Progress and <br />modifications were made through the section marked "Tree Protection". Of note: <br /> <br />- Removal of wording relating to the formation of a "commission" was discussed <br /> and agreed. This will be the responsibility of the Council and City Staff and <br /> separate form the ordinance. <br />- Minimum diameter of trees for replanting was reduced to 1" from 2 1/2", upon <br /> recommendations by Bruce Bacon and Michael Max to reduce tree mortality. <br />- Discussion around what should be used as the criteria for tree preservation in <br /> developments. Discussion to move away from tree diameter and move to a <br /> canopy preservation criteria. Joe McDilda mentioned that the task force should <br /> consider 40% canopy preservation on the development as describe in the <br /> preliminary plat. <br /> <br />Action Items <br /> <br />- Joe McDilda to use word processor to make modifications and prepare for <br /> electronic presentation at the next meeting. Mr. McDilda to follow the outlining <br /> format in the draft submitted by Sylvia Frolik. <br />- Michael Max to share canopy cover progress at the next meeting. <br />- The next meeting will again focus on completion of draft modifications. There <br /> are only 4 pages left. <br /> <br />Motion by Michael Max to forgo the tentative Saturday meeting. Seconded by Sue <br />Dvorak. <br /> <br />In favor - all, Opposed - none. Motion carried <br /> <br />Discussion about availability for the next EPTF meeting regularly scheduled for the 3rd <br />Thursday (2/20). Motion by Sue Dvorak to move the next EPTF meeting to Monday, <br />2/24. Seconded by Joe McDilda <br /> <br />In favor - all, Opposed - none. Motion carried <br /> <br /> <br />
