Minnesota Department of Transportation Metro District 1500 County Road B2 W Roseville, MN 55113-3174 October 10, 2014 Mr. Kurt Ulrich City Administrator City of Ramsey 7550 Sunwood Drive NW Ramsey, MN 55303-5137 Re: Request for City of Ramsey Resolution of Support for Highway 10 Access Planning Study Dear Mr. Ulrich: I write to request a resolution of support for the Highway 10 Access Planning Study from the City of Ramsey. Enclosed is a draft resolution of support. MnDOT has obtained letters of support for the study from Metro District Engineer Scott McBride, and from Arlene McCarthy of the Metropolitan Council. These letters are enclosed as well. In addition to this request to the City of Ramsey, MnDOT is also requesting resolutions of support from the City of Anoka and from Anoka County. As MnDOT and our partner agencies pursue funding for improvements to Highway 10 and the supporting street system, it will be essential that we can demonstrate that the investments are consistent with the study, and that the study is broadly supported by all partner agencies. In the box below are instructions for accessing the final report. These instructions assume one is using a Windows P.C.; a similar procedure can be followed on a Mac. Right -click the round Windows button in the lower -left comer of your screen, and select Open Windows Explorer from the context menu that appeared when you right -clicked. Then input the usemame and password below: Username: mndotthl0 Password: highwayTH10 On September 11, the Bolton & Menk team and I met with Patrick Brama, Bruce Westby and Tim Gladhill to discuss the report. During the meeting, Pat, Bruce, and Tim suggested MnDOT be present at the October 28 City Council Meeting, at which this Resolution can be considered by Council.
