Motion by Cu ss;oner Bauer, seconded by Commissioner Nosan, to recommend that City <br />Council adopt Resolution #14-10-204 supporting the Highway 10 Access Planning Study with the <br />needed areas of further analysis identified within said resolution. <br />Further discussion <br />Commissioner VanScoy explained he would support the proposed plan but believed that the City <br />was settling. He had hoped the City would move towards a freeway in less than 25 years. <br />Commissioner Maul did not want to see a traffic situation created that would be similar to Highway <br />169 and I-494. <br />Commissioner Brauer suggested an amendment be added to the motion noting the Commission <br />had concerns about the timelines for the project and still adheres to the freeway or near -freeway <br />vision for the corridor. <br />Friendly Ame4slment: Commissioner Bauer amended his motion to state the Commission <br />supported the Highway 10 Access Planning Study with the needed areas of further analysis <br />identified within said resolution directing staff to address the long range concerns of the corridor <br />and the need for a freeway. Commissioner Nosan supported the friendly amendment. <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Levine, Commissioners Bauer, Nosan, Brauer, Maul, <br />and VanScoy. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br />
