<br />Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #14-09-193 <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION FOR METROPOLITAN <br />COUNCIL ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES (MCES) 2014 MUNICIPAL INFLOW <br /> <br />& INFILTRATION (I&I) GRANT <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />through the Metropolitan Council Environmental Services 2014 State Bond <br />Fund, funding is available to off-set costs associated with inflow and infiltration in our sanitary <br />sewer system; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS <br />, this funding opportunity will help the community proactively address long- <br />term maintenance of the City’s sanitary sewer system and prevent unnecessary costs of <br />treatment and maintenance; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the deadline for submitting proposals is September 26, 2014. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes Staff to apply for the 2014 State <br /> Bond Fund Municipal Inflow & Infiltration (I&I) Grant. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Kuzma, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Johns <br /> Councilmember LeTourneau <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br /> Councilmember Backous <br /> Councilmember Tossey <br /> <br /> <br />
