Voting No: None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Award Engineering Contract for Services Relating to Windemere <br />Woods, Cedar Hills, Chestnut Hills, Chestnut Ponds, Fleischer's <br />2nd and Wood Pond Hills Additions (Wood Pond Projects) <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder stated that staff is asking Council to authorize the City to enter into <br />an ag-reement with an engineering service to do the Wood Pond Projects. <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson noted that Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. submitted the lowest bid and <br />recalled at the workshop last January, the consensus was that the practice would be to award <br />projects to the lowest bidder. <br /> <br />Councilmember Bever felt this particular project would be a good opportunity to explore the <br />services of another engineering firm. <br /> <br />Mavor Gilbertson replied that Hakanson Anderson has an advantage on this particular project <br />because they have been working on this project to this point. He added it would cost the City extra <br />money to switch to another engineering firm that would have to acquaint itself with the project. <br /> <br />Mr. Schroeder stated that he feels that the City would be welt served by utilizing various <br />en~neering firms for projects in Ramsey; however, in this case, because of Hakanson Anderson's <br />familiarity with the project. City Staff would be most cornformble worldng with that firm. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Mavor Gilbertson to authorize the City <br />Administrator to enter into an engineering connract for services related to the Wood Pond projects <br />with the firm of Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mavor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Hardin. Cich and Peterson. <br />Voting No: Councilmember Bever. <br /> <br />Motion by Councitmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to adopt Resolution <br />~I-08-1~8 declaring the official intent of the City of Ramsey to reimburse certain expenditures <br />from the proceeckt of taxable or tax-exempt bonds to be issued by the City. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
