CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsev Ci.ty Council conducted a special Council meeting to interview finalists for the Patrol <br />Officer position on Thursday, August 29, 1991 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen <br />Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor James Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Sheila Bever <br />Councilmember Richard t~ich <br />Councilmember Glen Hardin <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Police Chief Michael Auspos <br />Personnel Coordinator Kay McAloney <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson called the meeting to order at 4:35 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Consensus was to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Interview Finalists for Patrol Officer Position (Open) <br /> <br />Personnel Coordinator McAloney explained that 36 applications were received with regard to the <br />Patrol Officer position. A panel consisting of Police Chief Auspos, Officers Gustafson, <br />Singewald and Dwyer, and herself, interviewed eleven of these applicants. From the eleven <br />interviewed, four finalists were chosen to be interviewed bv the CiB~ Council. She added that a List <br />o£ questions had been prepared, per the City Administrator's request, and were ~ven to the City <br />Administrator, :Mayor and Councilmembers. <br /> <br />The Council proceeded to interview Mr. Thomas Lueck, Ms. Heidi Galchutt. Mr. Daniel Jackson, <br />;'~, ~d Mr. Todd Vandervort asldng them all the same questions. <br /> <br />Following the interviews, the City Administrator, Police Chief, Mayor and Councilmembers <br />discussed the applicants and voted on their preference. <br /> <br />Mavor Gilbertson and Councilmemix:r Hardin had to leave the meeting for another meeting. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Bever and seconded bv Councilmember Cich to offer the position of <br />Patrol Officer .to Mr. Tom Lueck. If Mr. Lueck does not accept, the Council will reconvene to <br />discuss the applicants again. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Beyer, Cich and Peterson.
