PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a public hearing regarding Improvement Project g91-03 (Rum <br />Acres Estates Ist and 2nd Additions sealcoating~ on Tuesday, September 10, 1991 at the. Ramsey <br />Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor James Gilbertson <br />Councilmember S heila Beyer <br />Councilmember Richard Cich <br />Councitmember Glen Hardin <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Cib' Engineer Steven Jankowski <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia l:rolik <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson called the public hearing to order at 7:18 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />CiB, Engineer Jankowsk5 stated that Improvement Project g91-03 is the Rum Acres Estates 1 st and <br />2nd Additions sealcoating project. The total cost estimated for the project in February was <br />$8,342.00 with an estimated per unit assessment of $160.42. The actual cost was $4,169.64 and <br />the actual assessment per unit (26 units) is $80.19 <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Dorothy Stadfelt, 15111 Juniper Ridge Drive N.W., Ramsev - inquired why the actual amount is <br />approximately 50% less that the estimated amount. <br /> <br />Mr. Jankowsk/stated that the ori~i.nal cost estimate was done in February, 1991 which was at the <br />time of the Gulf War and oil prices were uncertain. He explained that he estimated the costs would <br />be approximately 10% higher than the highest 1990 bid: however, the oil prices were 30% lower <br />than the lowest bid received in 1990. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Morion bv Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Counciimember Beyer to adjourn the public <br />hear/ng. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
