CASE

GOALS FOR 1992
By: James Gromberg, Project Manager

Background:

#1

As we discussed at the meeting on November 13, 1991, the Economic Development Commission
has set its regularly scheduled meeting for December 4, 1991 to talk about and prioritize goals for
1992. I have included a copy of a goals list that has been talked about and presented to all of the
Commissions, City Staff and City Council. Along with this goals list, I have added a section for
goals that you might come up with as you read over the listed goals. It is very important for this
goals meeting and discussion to work efficiently that we all come to the meeting prepared to
discuss goals, specific ideas on the goals and how we hope to reach those goals. I have also listed
below some ideas for different goals that may or may not be included in our goals plan for 1992.

They would include:

Development of a chamber group for the City of Ramsey
Ordinance review and new proposed ordinances
A small business fair
A business visitation program
Business Appreciation Day and the Business EXPO
Monument sign installation
Helping the City with code compliance in the industrial and commercial areas.

1)
2)
3)
4)
5)
6)
7)

Recommendation:

After discussing the goals, the Economic Development Commission should prioritize the goals and
route them to the City Council as their recommendation for 1992 Goals for the Economic
Development Commission.

Review Checklist:

Project Manager
City Administrator

EDC: 12-4-91
