There is <br />also an opportunity to volunteer to work at the armory on December 16/17 for set -up or on the <br />18 /19 for distribution. <br />Vehicle and Equipment Display. Staff has scheduled a vehicle and equipment display of the new <br />equipment purchased for Public Works, Police and Fire, for Tuesday, November 18, which is also <br />a Public Works Committee meeting night, and would schedule the Vehicle and Equipment Display <br />for that same evening, beginning at 5:00 p.m. <br />Elections Update. The Public Accuracy Test was performed on Wednesday, October 29, and all <br />AccuVote machines tested error free. All the machines have been set into Elections mode, ready <br />for the big day. As a reminder, City Hall is open on Saturday, November 1, from 10:00 a.m. to <br />3:00 p.m. to accommodate in- person absentee voters. Absentee voting continues through Monday, <br />November 3, ending at 5:00 p.m. We have had about 200 absentee voters thus far, not counting <br />what the County has received. via US Mail. As you know, all polling locations will be open from <br />7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 4. <br />New AV Equipment. The A/V projects have begun! As some of you may know, this summer the <br />City Council approved several AV renovation projects for our City Hall facilities. Improvements <br />started yesterday, October 29 in the Lake Itasca room, with the addition of an audio meeting <br />recording system. This system features in- ceiling microphones and an audio mixing unit. This <br />system will make recording closed meetings even easier and more reliable. Look for more projects <br />to start yet this year! <br />Free Bystander CPR and AED Training. Help the City of Ramsey become a Heart Safe <br />Community! The Heart Safe program is an initiative to prevent death from sudden cardiac arrest <br />(SCA) by increasing community awareness, placing automated external defibrillators (AEDs) <br />wherever people live, work and play, and by educating the public in quality CPR and proper use <br />of an AED. <br />As part of this mission, Tim Hoffman, leader of the Ramsey Heart Safe program, will be offering <br />FREE Bystander CPR and AED training to all Ramsey residents and businesses.
