12 <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating <br />to the request are determined to be as follows: <br /> <br />That the Applicants appeared before the Planning Commission for a public hearing pursuant <br />to Section 9.03.04 of the Ramsey City Code on February. 5, 2004, and that said public hearing <br />was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated <br />by re/brence. <br /> <br />2. That the Subject Property is zoned R-l, Rural Developing and is located outside the <br /> Metropolitan Urban Service Area OVIUSA). <br /> <br />3. That the Subject Property is approximately 1.36 acres in size. <br /> <br />4. That the Subject Property is surrounded by properties also zoned R-1 Rural Developing. <br /> <br />5. That City Code restricts the Subject Property, to a total of 1,664 square feet of accessory <br /> building space. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />tl. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />13. <br /> <br />That the Applicants have a primary garage of 937 square feet; the new accessory building is <br />proposed to be 806 square feet in size; resulting in a total of 1,743 square feet of accessory <br />building space on the Subject Property. The net result is a seventy-nine (79) square foot <br />overage tbr t4~e Subject Property. <br /> <br />That the Applicant is a self-employed contractor and currently brings commercial equipment, <br />specifically several trailers, home after a job is completed. <br /> <br />That City Code does allow self-employed contractors to bring commercial equipment to their <br />property as long as it is stored indoors or kept in the side or rear yard and properly screened <br />from public roads and adjacent properties. <br /> <br />That the Applicants want to construct the accessory structure to house these trailers that are <br />Currently stored outside on the property. <br /> <br />That the Applicants have stated that the reason for the excess size on the proposed building is <br />to accommodate the storage of equipment, including lengthy pieces of scaffolding, which ar~ <br />attached to one of the trailers. <br /> <br />That the construction of the detached accessory building will comply with ali applicable <br />Building Codes. <br /> <br />That the exterior finish is required to be of the same general design and materials as the <br />home. <br /> <br />That the Applicants have stated that the accessory structure will meet all height restrictions as <br />established in City Code. <br /> RESOLUTION #04-02- <br /> Page 2 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
