She did not discuss the business tour with the Rotary, but would like to discuss
this with them in the future.

Case #2: Business Network Meeting

Ms. Wald informed the EDA the Business Network meeting is scheduled for March 2, 2004.
The agenda for,~the meeting needs to be determined. She indicated a Town Center update will be
presented.

Member Gromberg stated a developer should present the Town Center update. If staff were to
give the presentation it may look like the City is funding the project.

Member Kurak:stated they should be certain to show that the developer and the City are working
together. She thinks it would be good to hear the presentation from the developer.

Member Gromberg suggested the different development groups make their presentations. The
groups should be present to answer any questions and to put a name with the projects.

Ms. Wald indicated she and Chandra Kreyer of the Police Department would like to work
together regarding crime prevention. She would like Ms. Kreyer to make a presentation at the
meeting. The police receive a lot of calls regarding false alarms and have suggested this be
discussed with the business community.

Member Gromberg suggested an update on the Rum River Commercial Node.

Ms. Wald explained the Business Connection Newsletter will include an article regarding the
Rum River Commercial Node.
