EOC Planning <br />Logistics SectiOnr Checklist: <br />Health and Medical <br /> <br />Immediate Concerns <br /> <br />Report to the EOC <br /> <br />Obtain briefing for Incident Command. Prepare Initial report to Emergency Manager. <br /> <br />Assess if ia 24hr/day and /or extended operation is needed. Make staffing assessments and <br />consider mutual aid. <br /> <br />[] Identify arly public health concerns that must be addressed immediately. Is a public warning <br /> necessary? If so consult with PIO for information dissemination to the media. <br /> <br />[] Coordinate with clinics, hospitals and nursing homes to assess their needs, help them obtain <br /> resources, :and ensure necessary services are being provided. <br /> <br /> Coordinate with neighboring community health and medical organizations and with State and <br /> Federal officials on matters related to assistance from other jurisdictions, including Federal <br /> assistance.~(MDH, USPHS, CDC, etc.) <br /> <br />ta Coordinate incoming groups such as American Red Cross, Salvation Army and Disaster <br /> Medical Assistance Teams (DMAT) as well as screening individual health and medical <br /> volunteers; ensure that positive ID and proof of Licensure is made for all volunteers. <br /> <br />[] Coordinate~ the location, procurement, screening, and allocation of health and medical supplies <br /> and resources, including human resources, required to support health and medical operations. <br /> <br />Provide information to the PIO regarding media releases on number of injuries and deaths. <br /> <br />[] Provide health and medical services information to EM. <br /> <br />59 <br /> <br /> <br />
