Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos stated they could. <br /> <br />Mr. Fredericks stated that instead of closing the public heating, maybe they could postpone this <br />until a future date. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Ostrum, seconded by Commissioner Johns, to continue the public <br />hearing to a later date. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Cook, Commissioners Ostrum, Johns, LaMere, Olds, <br />and Shryock. Voting No: None. Absent: Rolfe. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Commission was to have Park/Utilities Supervisor Boos tear down the arena. <br />This was discussed at the meeting. <br /> <br />Case #2: Recommend Park Dedication on the Villas of Meadow Point <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos presented information regarding the preliminary plat for Villas of <br />Meadow Point to the Commission. Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos stated Allstate Development <br />LLC has applied for preliminary plat for a townhome development. The property is currently <br />zoned R-2, Medium Density Residential and R-1 Single Family. The property is approximately <br />23.36 acres in size. City staff recommends preliminary plat approval subject to compliance with <br />the City Staff Review Letter dated August 20, 2002, and the results of the September 5 Planning <br />Commission discussion. Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos reviewed the information from the <br />report with the Commission. He stated the Planning Commission approved this and it was <br />recommended to go to the City Council. He stated cash should satisfy the park dedication and a <br />trail system would be constructed along the borders. He noted that the trail fee would be <br />collected in cash on a per unit basis. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johns, seconded by Commissioner Olds, to recommend approval of the <br />preliminary plat for Villas at Meadow Point contingent upon compliance with City Staff Review <br />Letter dated August 20, 2002, with trail construction on County Roads 57, 5, and Alpine Drive at <br />the Developers expense. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Absent: Rolfe. <br /> <br />Case #3: Select Playground Equipment for Woodland Green Park <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos explained the Developer of the Highlands at River.
