CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, January 13, 2004, at the <br />Ramsey Fire station Number I, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember Al Pearson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br /> <br />Member Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br />Fire Chief/Director of Public Works Dean Kapler <br />Assistant Director of Public Works Brian Olson <br />Community Development Assistant Chris Anderson <br />Police Chief James Way <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:09 p.m. and called <br />upon Councilmember Kurak to lead in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION REGARDING METROPOLITAN COUNCIL GRANT <br /> <br />Natalie Haas Steffen, Met Council, presented the City Council with a certificate from the Met <br />Council for a $2,210,000 grant the City received from the Met Council. She noted that the <br />Ramsey Town Center project was rated the highest of the ten recommended projects and the <br />advisory committee recommended funding the project in full unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec thanked Ms. Haas Steffen and the rest of the Met Council for the grant and their <br />support of the Ramsey Town Center project. <br /> <br />City Council/January 13, 2004 <br /> Page 2 of 24 <br /> <br /> <br />
