Tree Disease Ordinance_: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to <br />introduce an ordinance addressing tree diseases and to request that Ramsey <br />Tree Inspector Bruce Bacon be present at the May 24 City Council ~eting to <br />review the ordinance with City Council. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember DeLuca requested that information also <br />be available on May 24 regarding the cost to enforce the ordinance° <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. Absent: CouncilF~0er Cox. <br /> <br />Case #14: Budget And Levy_ Limit Considerations.' <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />adopt Resolution #88-81 setting the schedule for budget preparation and <br />various hearings. (Please refer to resolution file for Resolution ~88-81). <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mr. Hartley stated that Council has established a <br />budget oommittee and Council has also indicated that the entire Council <br />should be involved in the budget preparation process; requested Council <br />direction. Mayor Reimann stated that the entire Council should be acting <br />as the Budget Committee. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember COx. <br /> <br />Case ~16~: Status _.Q~. Pending Legal Matters: <br /> <br />Mr. Coodrich requested Council authorization to return the retainage amount <br />of $10,385.19 to Dave Perkins Contracting; this action does not relate to <br />the pending lawsuit with Dave Perkins Contracting. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Reimann and seconded by Counciln~mber Pearson to authorize <br />City Staff to pay the retainage amount of $10,385.19 to Dave Perkins <br />Contracting contingent upon the contractor supplying the City with a <br />certificate of claims payment, affidavit for payment of state taxes and <br />letter of consent from surety firm. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. Absent: CouncilF~mber COx. <br /> <br />Authorize Executing Joint Powers Ag~eemen.t_ With .An.oka County <br /> For Recycling Grant Funds: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />authorize the execution of a joint powers agreement with Anoka County for <br />the second distribution of Metropolitan Council local recycling develol:ment <br />grant funds for Fiscal Year 1989. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None.
