PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a special meeting on Tuesday, July 19, <br />1988 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Councilmember Steve DeLuca <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember A1 Sorteberg <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator David Hartley <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Arnie Cox <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Councilmember DeLuca called the special City Council meeting to order at <br />7:35 p.m. and led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN IN~UT <br /> <br />N one. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />approve the agenda as submitted. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Sorteberg, DeLuca and Pearson. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: Mayor Reimann and Councilmember Cox. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />~se #1: Review Lower Rum River ManaEement Organization: <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka recalled that in 1985, the City entered into a joint powers <br />agreement with the cities of Andover, Anoka and Coon Rapids to form the <br />Lower Rum River Watershed Management Organization. Over the past 3 years, <br />that organization has been preparing a plan and at this point is submitting <br />it to Ramsey for review and comment. The purpose of the plan is to provide <br />for conservation of water and natural resources, prevention and alleviation <br />of flood damage and regulation of creeks, lakes and water courses for <br />domestic, recreational and public use across municipal boundaries. <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka reviewed the plan with Council. <br /> <br />City Council/July 19, 1988 <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
