Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #14-11-232 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTIAL PAYMENT TO AMERICAN LIBERTY CONSTRUCTION INC. FOR IP 13-14 ELMCREST PARK'S COMMUNITY BUILDING WHEREAS, on December 10, 2013 City Council authorized funding and the construction of Elmcrest Park's Community Building; and WHEREAS, the City has designed the building through the use of Studio 55 Architects and identified the costs associated with construction of the building by competitive quotations through the City's Construction Manager, American Liberty Construction Inc.; and WHEREAS, a guaranteed maximum price has been issued by American Liberty Construction Inc. of $716,785 for construction to begin immediately and progress through winter for 2014 completion; and WHEREAS, as of November 12, 2014 $534,442.42 has been paid to date; and WHEREAS, Parks & Assistant Public Works Superintendent has inspected the completed work and recommends partial payment to American Liberty Construction, Inc. in the amount of $161,827.16. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to American Liberty Construction, Inc. for Improvement Project #13-14; Elmcrest Park's Community Building in the amount of $161,827.16. 2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. 3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the date of November 12, 2014. 4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this resolution The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: RESOLUTION #14-11-232 Page 1 of 2
