PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a special meeting on Wednesday, September <br />28, 1988 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Reimann <br />Councitmember Steve DeLuca <br />Councilmember A1 Sorteberg <br />Councilmember David Bawden <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator David Hartley <br />Finance Officer Sandra Ashley <br /> <br />CALL %O ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the special City Council meeting to order at 7:42 p.m. <br />and led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CIT.IZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Jill Prall - 15611 Marmoset Street N.W. - Ms. Prall requested being heard <br />on the subject of her proposal for a youth center. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember Bawden to <br />approve the agenda with the following additions: <br /> <br /> Case #2: Proposal for a youth center; case of Ms. Jill Prall <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca, Pearson and Bawden. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Discuss 1989 Budget: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley presented and reviewed the schedule of estimated taxable, <br />estimated levy and project mill rates. <br /> <br />Case #2: Proposal For A Youth Center; Case Of Ms. Jill Prall; <br /> <br />Ms. Prall stated that a concern exists regarding direction and use of the <br />new park center at Central Park. Ms. Prall noted that there are <br />approximately 1,783 children in Ramsey in grades 5 through 12.
