Maintenance Categories for Turf Adjacent to Trails Categorizing the level of tr,'dl maintenance intensity for various routine maintenance tasks kids in the prioridzadon of what work needs to get completed, xvhere it needs to be completed, and how much time and money can be spent onI the completion of the work. '(, The table below establishes guidelines for the level of maintenance for three dif£drent'c~eg$ri~s of trails. The goal in all cases is to achieve an opdmal level of turf quality within the given "maintenance variable." The maintenance variable wilt be assigned to each trail at the beginning of the )Tear based on the age of the trail, the amount of use, the current condition, and available funding.
