Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #97-04- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT # TO REZONE CERTAIN <br />PROPERTY FROM R-1 RURAL RESIDENTIAL TO R-1 URBAN RESIDENTIAL <br /> <br /> WI-IEREAS, the City received an application to rezone certain property in accordance <br />with Section 9i03.03 of the Ramsey City Code. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RA1VISEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That Jacob Barthold and Peter Barthold and Jane Peacapio, hereinafter referred to as <br />"Applicants," have properly applied to rezone certain property from R-1 Rural Residential to <br />R-1 UrbanResidential. <br /> <br />That the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.03 of the <br />City Code on April 1, 1997, and said public hearing was properly advertised, and the minutes <br />of said public hearing are hereby incorporated by reference. <br /> <br />3. That the prOperty proposed to be rezoned is legally described as follows: <br /> <br />The South Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 14, Township 32, Range 25, Anoka <br />County, Minnesota, lying west of the west right-of-way line of State Highway No. 47. <br /> <br />The total area of the property to be rezoned is approximately seventy (70) acres in size. <br /> <br />That the subject property is located in the Metropolitan Urban Service Area (MUSA) and is <br />zoned R-1Rural Residential. <br /> <br />That the Applicant is proposing to develop the plat with single family urban residential lots. <br /> <br />That the Surrounding adjacent properties to the west, south and north are zoned R-1 Rural <br />residential. However, the adjacent 40-acre parcel to the south and approximately 10 acres to <br />the north are in the MUSA and eligible for development at urban standards with an <br />appropriate rezoning. <br /> <br />That Section 9.20.03 <br />Residential District is <br />Urban serVice Area. <br /> <br />of the Ramsey City Code states that the intent of the R-1 Rural <br />to accommodate single-family dwelling units on land outside the <br /> <br />That Section 9.20.03 of the Ramsey City Code states that the intent of the R-1 Urban <br />Residential District is to accommodate single-family dwelling units on land in the Urban <br />Service Al:ea. <br /> <br /> <br />
