RAMSEY Fire Department <br />Report for December and 1997 Year End <br /> <br />1. Incident Calls <br /> <br />The RAMSEY Fire Department responded to a total of 22 calls during the month <br />of December. The final YTD incidents the RFD has responded to is 358. This <br />compares, to 327 in 1998, 248 in 1995, 233 in 1994 and 203 in 1993. The <br />breakdown of the December calls is are as follows: <br /> <br />Fire Related 16 <br />Rescue/Personal Injury' <br /> <br />A detailed report of these incidents is provided later in the report. Also provided <br />are graphs showing comparison of 1993 thru 1997. <br /> <br />2. Training <br /> <br />The following training took place in the month of December: <br /> <br />12/03/97 Friction Loss 2 Hr. <br /> Anoka Technical College <br /> <br />12/17/97 Incident Overview 2 Hr. <br /> In House Staff <br /> <br />The following training is planned for January: <br /> <br /> 1/7/98 Fire Behavior <br /> 1/21/98 SCBA Trailer <br /> 1/28/98 Salvage and Overhaul <br /> <br />As a Fire Department in 1997 62 hr. were spent on fire rel~ted training, 30 hr. <br />were spent on medical training. This breakdown between the 2 areas is <br />consistentlwith other years. <br /> <br />3. Major Maintenance <br /> <br />Engine #1 .and Tanker #1 had pump certification done in December. Engine #2 <br />was tested! but does not have enough GPM to qualify for any ISO credits. <br /> <br /> <br />
