Miscellaneous Purchases:

The department had submitted the attached list to the p~evious City
Administrator containing items that the Fire Department feels are a
necessity tO operate safely. Those items that did not exceed $500.00
were then approved by that same individual. When I submitted a
requisition!into the finance department, I was informed that the
action ~ha~i~ha~ been taken by that individual~ who was no longer
employed b¥!~the Oity of Ramsey~ was done inappropriately and without
the ~undinglavailable.

That same l~st included certain items which that individual did not
approve, th:se items which had exceeded the $500.00 level of
authority for that individuals approval. Those items were then
brought to ~he City Council and approved for purchase. The Fire
Department ~as purchased some of these items but has since been
directed to ~old off until confirmation from the Fire Board to
purchase the ~emaining items.

The Fire Department requests your permission to continue purchasing
the approved items, those items which have already been approved at
the City CodiCil level, and to consider the items which were approved
by the previ~Ous City Administrator.

These item~ [are still desperately needed in order to maintain a safe
and efficient operation.
