As
a junior first class petty officer, I was filling a senior
chief petty officer's job and worked directly for and was
responsible to the ship's- engineering officer. I made Western
Pacific and Vietnam deployments. Involved in combat situations
working arduious hours iD difficult and tense and often very
dangerous situations.

]967 to 1968, USS John Paul Jones DDG-32 Shipfitter First
Class. Tasks are the same as above. Made Western Pacific
and Vietnam deployments. Involved in combat situations.

]966 to 1967, Naval Tra'ining Center San Diego, CA Class C-~
Welding School. I was trained in all the phases of gas and
arc welding. I was at that time a certified welder.

1963 to ~966, USS Coral Sea CVA-43 from non-rated to Shipfitter
Second Class. In charge of the plumbing repair and maintenance
shop. Responsible for the work being accomplished and the
training of personnel in the shop. Planned work schedules
and estimated job repairs. Ordered materials and performed
duties as a pipefitter, welder, and performed as a memeber
of firefighting crew. Made Western Pacific and Vie'tnam
deployments. Involved in combat situations.

Prior to going into the United States Navy I grew up and
a~ended school in Minneapolis, Minnesota. ~
