CASE <br /> <br />REQUEST TO REVIEW THE ACQUISITION OF <br />TAX FORFEIT PROPERTY 02-32-25-23-0020 <br />By: James Gromberg, Project Manager <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The City has been informed that the parcel described as PIN 02-32-25-23-0020 is available as a tax <br />forfeit property. The City Council, at its February 27, 1991, meeting requested a recommendation <br />from the Park and Recreation Commission as to the need or value of acquiring this property. <br /> <br />The property is a 0.9 acre lot at the comer of 178th Lane N.W. and Vanadium St. N.W. in Rodeo <br />Hills Estates. The lot is directly under the UPA power line and will be difficult to market as a <br />residential lot, However the lot could be used and developed as a tot lot in the park system. At the <br />present time the City does not have any property north of Trott Brook between County Road #5 <br />and Highway #47. <br /> <br />The City may purchase the lot for a $10.00 filing fee if the lot is dedicated for a specific public use. <br /> <br />Attached is a location map of the above described parcel. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff' recommendation is to acquire the lot described as PIN 02-32-25-23-0020 for use as a tot lot <br />park. <br /> <br />Park and Recreation Commission Action: <br /> <br />Motion to recommend that the City Council acquire the lot described as PIN 02-32-25-23-0020 for <br />park use as a tot lot. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />P&R: 3/7/91 <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator <br />City Engineer <br /> <br /> <br />
