Y <br />Our Uisiion: To work tngether to resposNY grow our community. and to provide quality, cost -oiFecdve, and eiliclent gowemm*nt services. <br />CC Regular Session <br />Meeting Date: 11/25/2014 <br />6.1. <br />By: Diana Lund, Finance <br />Information <br />Title: <br />Adopt Ordinance 414 -15 Adopting 2015 Schedule of Rates, Fees & Charges <br />Purpose /Background: <br />Purpose: <br />The city annually adopts a schedule of rates, fees and charges which outlines the fees that the <br />city charges for such items as building construction, business licenses, utility rates, and planning <br />and zoning. <br />Effective June 30, 1991, Ordinance #91 -08 amended S7.01.10 of the City Code to allow the City <br />Council to annually set fees. <br />A listing of the schedule of rates, fees and charges is attached. The majority of the changes from <br />2014 to 2015 are reflective in the building construction section with a slight increase for <br />respective permits. The Elm Crest Park building and respective facility rental fees have been <br />added to the facility use section. Lastly, the utility section has been updated to reflect increases in <br />water rates which are per the 2012 Comprehensive Water System study and a 10% increase in <br />storm water utility rates, to establish funding for upcoming storm water projects in the next few <br />years per the 2015 -2019 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) <br />The proposed 2015 schedule was presented to the City Council at it's October 28, 2014 <br />worksession and motion was to recommend approval of proposed schedule to the City Council. <br />The 2015 schedule will become effective January 1, 2015. <br />
