Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #14-12-257 <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A 2-YEAR LABOR AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY, AND MUNICIPAL <br />EMPLOYES (AFSCME) <br />WHEREAS, the current AFSCME contract expires on December 31, 2014; and <br />WHEREAS, city staff and AFSCME have reached a tentative agreement on a <br />two-year labor agreement, effective January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2016; and <br />WHEREAS, the City and AFSCME have tentatively agreed to all articles within <br />the contracts, and; <br />WHEREAS, the City and AFSCME have tentatively agreed to continue the <br />Memorandum of Understandings for health insurance and uniforms based on updated <br />terms, effective January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2016; and; <br />WHEREAS, the City will administer the 2015-2016 labor agreement as follows: <br />Duration: <br />2-years / January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2016 <br />Wages: <br />2015: 2% Increase to the 2014 wage scale, effective on 01-01-15, for a Cost of Living <br />Adjustment. <br />2016: 2% increase to the 2015 wage schedule, effective on 01-01-16 for Cost of Living <br />Adjustment. <br />The employer will make the following contributions toward group health insurance <br />coverage for employees working 30 hours per week or more; as well as to purchase <br />$20,000 of basic life insurance for full-time regular employees working 30 hours per <br />week or more. <br />2015 Health Insurance Contributions <br />Employee Only $871.74 <br />Employee + Spouse $1142.00 <br />Employee + Children $1226.00 <br />Family $1358.00 <br />Credit in Lieu of Coverage $345.00 <br />
