COUNTY ADMINISTRATION
2015 Anoka County
Legislative Platform Items
Active Lobbying
Transportation
The Anoka County Board of Commissioners recommends:
• Bonding for Highway Ten projects at Fairoak and Thurston, Ramsey Boulevard and Sunfish Lake
Boulevard.
• State Trunk Highway funds for bonding of up to $42 million for the Highway 10 expansion from
four lanes to six lanes, through Coon Rapids.
• I-35 Interchange project at TH 97/CSAH 23
• State bonding funding of $10 million per year for the Right -of -Way Acquisition for Ten
Expansion (RATE) projects in Anoka County on US 10 from Armstrong Boulevard in the City of
Ramsey through Fairoak Avenue in the City of Anoka.
Human Services
The Anoka County Board of Conmtissioners recommends:
• A legislative policy change to "UN -do" a state law by eliminating the additional 20 percent
income withholding requirement for child support, if there is a court -ordered payback. Thus, the
obligor would pay either the specific amount ordered by the court OR the additional 20 percent,
but not both.
General Government
The Anoka County Board of Commissioners recommends:
• Any changes being made to the Fiscal Disparities Program should only be considered within a
framework of comprehensive property tax reform. Anoka County opposes future diversion from
the Fiscal Disparities Program to fund specific programs or projects, as this would contradict the
purposes of the program.
,vz111
IPlItY
;;bred, InnovaFve, 4 rsr,„ally Res pon,ikli
Dover 1ei2 GHnte ,x 21U0 3 /-Vvenoe oik 700 A Anoka, MN 5530,1-5025 A iA,,N.an0; 'OHO U:;
/61._12 1-3700 Fax. /6.;-323 5002 A TDD/T 21. /6%3.3323 `>20'}
!\ iirineliv ,\ation / 1:Hqua) ()Fa,c ri.nity 1.-inp)oy,ei
